In a straight line the Quaife Limited Slip Differential will drive both wheels, therefore immediately the traction is improved by 100% as compared to factory fitted ‘open differentials’ as described above. In a corner the automatic torque biasing action of the Quaife LSD means that power can be distributed to either/both wheels and is given to the wheel that has the most traction. This automatic torque biasing action means that ‘understeer’ is eliminated and traction is improved immensely. This will turn more of the cars tractive force into forward motion and ultimately make the car quicker. If power upgrades have been made to the car it will benefit even further by achieving more forward motion from the added power. A Quaife differential is an absolute must-have modification for any car which comes with an open differential out of the factory.
